Saturday, December 1, 2018 marks the celebration of the Village of Oldenburg in Southeastern Indiana called “Under the Spires”. Join Michaela Farm, one of the Sisters’ supported ministries right on the edge of Oldenburg, in joining in this festive day! The farm store will be open and we have shelled and unshelled pecans, shelled English and black walnuts, a selection of dried herbs, poultry mix, roast rub, and delicious local honey in a variety of sizes. This year we are excited to offer you apple cider jelly and applesauce from Doll’s orchard, our neighbor down the road. We have farm fresh eggs and other surprises. Drop by the store and indulge in natural local food. Rain or shine the store will be open from dawn to dusk. You are always welcome!
While you’re in Oldenburg, stroll Main Street for a Christmas celebration with a German flair. The shops and restaurants will be open. Stop by the Motherhouse convent for homemade cookies and listen to seasonal music in the Sisters’ Chapel beginning at 10:00 AM. A variety of performers will be in and out all day. The annual Boar’s Head Festival is from 5:00 PM – 8:30 PM in the Chapel. Come celebration a taste of Christmas as only Oldenburg can do it!
