As Sisters and Associates of St. Francis we have over the years taken a stance on various social justice issues. Our stance on Care of Creation is one of these documents we try to live each day individually and corporately. Please join us this week during this season by using the prayer/reflection included below. This week we give thanks and consciously call to our attention the sacredness of creation in all its forms asking for the courage to transform our lives to honor the universe in which we live.
May God who established the dance of creation,
Who marvels at the lilies of the field,
Who transforms chaos to order,
Lead us to transform our lives and the Church
To reflect God’s glory in creation.

We belong to the Creator in whose image we are all made.
In God we are breathing, in God we are living, and through God we are reconciled.
We belong to Jesus Christ, the true icon of God and of humanity.
In him God is breathing, in him God is living, and through him we are reconciled.
We belong to the Holy Spirit, who gives us new life and strengthens our faith.
In the Spirit love is breathing, in the Spirit truth is living, the breath of God always moves us.
We belong to the Holy Trinity, who is one in all and Three-in-One.
In God we are all made, in Christ we are all saved, in the Spirit we are all united.
Walk in nature and see her gifts that are given freely.
Look out your window and give thanks and praise for the care Mother Earth gives us.
