Come and See Weekend - October 20 and 21, 2007
Seize the Opportunity to Journey with the Sisters of St. Francis, Oldenburg.
The Come and See Weekend begins on Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. and ends after the noon meal on Sunday. We will explore and experience prayer, Franciscan values, outreach, care of the earth and peacemaking.
This Weekend is for women who are 18 years of age and older.

Who Comes to a Come and See Weekend?
We have Come and See Weekends three times a year. They begin on Saturday morning and end with the noon meal on Sunday. Women who live more than an hour away are welcome to arrive on Friday evening. During this past year women have come from as far away as Seattle, WA, and as close as Shelbyville, IN. We have had teenagers and grandmothers in attendance. Any woman who feels she may have the call to religious life is welcome to "Come and See" if the Oldenburg Franciscans may be the community of women she is looking for.
During the weekend, various speakers are featured on a variety of topics: The Call, What It Means to be a Franciscan, Community, Prayer, Ministry. We also show a video giving the newcomers an over-all picture of our way of life.
